Mark Mackie – Store Owner
A little about myself, I have been a mad keen duck shooter for the past twenty one years mostly around the Te Awamutu area and within the last 5 years have been hooked on pheasant shooting.
Have not done a lot of deer stalking as in the past 11 years have co owned a home kill business, so in my spare time was not keen to go make more work for myself and was always cutting up everyone else's deer pigs etc, and when not out shooting can be found out on mates boats fishing mainly up the Coromandel, Whitianga, and when we can out from Kawhia, but not as often as I would like. Since taking over the business in February this year there has been a lot of changes for Hamills Waikato with a big move from Hamilton to the big smoke of Te Awamutu a bit of a risk some must say, but so far it has been well worth it. The support from the locals has been 'unreal' and the surrounding area of, as with the King Country and south Waikato alike.
So come on down, check out the new store and meet the friendly team and roll on summer!
Store hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm
